PROJECT SNAPSHOT

Goal: Build a modern e-commerce website for Book Shelf BD to sell books online with advanced features like custom Buy Now buttons, product filters, and shipment tracking.

Challenge: There was no structured system for online book sales before. The challenge was to create a platform where users could browse categories, buy combo packages, and track their shipments seamlessly.

My Role: Guide → Custom WooCommerce Development → CSS/PHP Customization → Launch & Support

BEFORE — Why This Project Was Critical

Book Shelf BD needed a professional online store to expand sales beyond offline customers. Without a proper e-commerce site, they were unable to showcase books, combo offers, or provide online order tracking. This limited their ability to scale in the competitive market of digital bookstores.

STEP 1 — Guide: Setting the Goal

• Objective: Create a fast, conversion-focused online bookstore.
• Core Requirements:
  • Custom Buy Now button for quick purchase.
  • Advanced category filter with price range.
  • Shipment tracking integration.
  • Fully responsive design.

STEP 2 — Design & Develop

This was where the real development took place.

Custom Code & Plugins:

• PHP + CSS customization for Buy Now button.
• WooCommerce template overrides for single product pages.
• Advanced product filter plugin with custom styling.
• Shipment tracking system integrated with WooCommerce.

Key Design Decisions:

• Minimal, clean layout focused on conversions.
• Responsive grid for product categories.
• Seamless UX from homepage → product → checkout → shipment tracking.

STEP 3 — Launch & Support

• Full QA testing for responsiveness, SEO, and speed.
• Setup caching & CDN for performance boost.
• Provided documentation for client team.
• Post-launch support for order tracking and bug fixes.

RESULTS — Impact in Numbers

• Page Load Time: ~2.8s (optimized with cache + CDN).
• Conversion Rate: Boosted due to direct Buy Now button.
• User Engagement: Increased through product filters and shipment tracking.
